Day Three – down to the last 16

There were 255 World Masters matches today as the action continued at the three clubs hosting this year’s event.

Most of the larger 19 categories are now down to the last 16 with some of the smaller draws already at the quarter-final stage – although with plate events set to start there will be no let up in the quantity or quality of squash.


As on the first two days there were a number of seeding upsets, the majority of which saw South African players beating minor seeds.

The biggest upset so far saw Retha Jacobs beat W34 [3/4] seed Tracy Browne 11-7, 11-4, 12-14, 11-6 in an all-South Africa matchup.
